At a glance
Timeline
Most rooms: 2–5 days per area; whole-home projects staged over 1–3 weeks
Scope
Hardwood, LVP, and tile installed cleanly—subfloor prep, transitions, and floor protection for the rest of your home while we work. No rushed install over a bad subfloor.
Best for
Homeowners replacing worn carpet, updating LVP or hardwood, or tying new flooring into an existing remodel
What's included
- On-site consultation and written estimate
- Subfloor assessment and prep
- Install with clean transitions and trim
- Furniture moving plan discussed upfront
How it works
- 1
Measure and assess the subfloor
We look at existing flooring, subfloor condition, transitions to other rooms, and height differences. Bad subfloor gets fixed before new material goes down.
- 2
Material and scope in writing
Product, square footage, prep work, and transitions spelled out—you know the number before we order materials.
- 3
Install and protect
Adjacent rooms protected, clean cuts at doorways and stairs, and a walkthrough when the floor is ready for furniture—not when it is close enough.
What to expect
Helpful to have ready
- Know which rooms and roughly how many square feet
- Samples or product links if you already picked a floor
- Clear furniture plan—we will discuss what stays vs. moves on the walkthrough
May not be the right fit if
- You only want materials delivered with no install
- Subfloor needs major structural repair—that gets scoped separately before finish flooring
Common questions
- Do you remove old flooring?
- Yes—removal and disposal are part of the scope when needed, spelled out in the estimate.
- Can you match existing hardwood in other rooms?
- We will tell you honestly on the walkthrough what is possible. Sometimes patch and refinish works; sometimes full replacement in connected areas makes more sense.
- Do you offer free estimates?
- Yes. Flooring estimates are free for Maryland homeowners in our service area.
