At a glance
Timeline
Most additions: 3–6 months from permit-ready start (size and complexity dependent)
Scope
More room when you have outgrown the floor plan. We handle design coordination, permits, structure, and tie-in to the existing house—so the addition reads as part of the home, not a box bolted on the side.
Best for
Homeowners who need real square footage—a bedroom, family room, or expanded kitchen footprint—not a cosmetic refresh
What's included
- On-site consultation and written estimate
- Design coordination and permit guidance
- Foundation, framing, roofing tie-in, and interior finish
- Electrical and HVAC coordination with the existing house
How it works
- 1
Site visit and feasibility
We look at lot lines, existing structure, and what you are trying to add. We will tell you early if zoning, setbacks, or foundation work affects the plan.
- 2
Scope, permits, and timeline
Written estimate covers structure through finished interior—not just framing with finish work TBD. Permit timeline included where we can estimate it.
- 3
Build and tie-in
We coordinate trades, protect the existing home during construction, and walk the finished addition with you before closeout.
What to expect
Helpful to have ready
- A rough idea of square footage and room type you need
- Any survey, prior plans, or HOA requirements you already have
- Access to the property and existing mechanicals on consultation day
May not be the right fit if
- You need a same-week shed or small outbuilding without permits—we will tell you if that is in scope
- You only want interior remodel work with no structural addition
Common questions
- Do you handle permits for additions?
- Yes. Permits and inspection scheduling are part of the project plan—we do not leave that on your plate alone.
- Can you match the existing home exterior?
- That is the goal. Siding, roof line, and trim tie-in are scoped in the estimate—not an afterthought.
- How do you handle living in the house during an addition?
- Depends on the build. We walk through access, dust, noise, and timeline on the first visit so you know what you are signing up for.
